The purpose of the Piedmont 'N Southern Model Railroad Club is to promote the hobby of model railroading through creation of an operating modular N-scale model railroad layout built to Ntrak and/or Bend Track and/or T-TRAK standards. This layout is intended to be displayed to the general public. We are a 100% NMRA club.
Our club was joined once again by the folks (and modules) from the North Georgia group at our favorite show in Easley. We had a great time, trains, tracks and electrical ran better than expected. We also had a sale table this time where we sold donated items plus some members' stuff. A nice fundraiser!
The PnS had a great time at the Greer RailFest 2023 event. We assembled and ran our T-Trak modules to the delight of the viewing public.
A great show in Easley, SC (Rock Springs Church Impact Center) on Feb 17-18, 2023. The show was very well-attended, with lots of interest from our visitors. We showcased our recent enhancements to the Turntable module (roundhouse lights and bridge programming). The Georgia guys brought a couple of great-looking new (to us) modules which also enhanced the running potential. Trains ran well. Had a couple of electronic head-scratchers but we were able to work around them in a timely fashion.

We had a great time setting up and running our layout to share with the crowd at the Central Railway Model & Historical Association's annual event at the Rock Springs Impact Center in Easley on February 7-8. The show was well-attended both days, school was out and there was some snow falling! Our trains ran well and we had a great variety on display!
On October 4th-5th, 2019, we traveled to the WNC Ag Center to participate in the Autumn Rails Train Show, which is sponsored by the French Broad e'N'pire Ntrak club. We set up our regular loop.
We were glad to be back at the Mauldin Chamber of Commerce's Trains, Trains and More Trains event, held over two weekends - September 7-9 and 14-15, 2019. This year they put us up on the stage, which worked well for us. As always, we were well-treated during our time there.

We enjoyed another great show in Easley at the Central Railway Model & Historical Association's annual event at the Rock Springs Impact Center. Good attendance, especially on Saturday, and the trains ran very well.
We took some T-TRAK modules to a local retirement community (Oak Leaf Village in Greer, SC) to share our hobby with the residents. Quite a few residents were able to visit and enjoy the trains, and we were blessed as well.

Great show as always, but the second week was impacted by hurricane Florence, which prompted the S Gaugers to return home early. However the PnS persevered and enjoyed running trains for the visitors who came out.

The Central Railway Model & Historical Association invited us back to participate in their excellent show at the Rock Springs Impact Center in Easley, SC. Our friends from the Athens Bend Track club once again brought some of their favorite modules. Trains ran well, and the show was well attended. A great time was had by all!
The Mauldin Chamber of Commerce held their annual Trains, Trains & More Trains event on Sept 8th, 9th, 10th, 15th and 16th, at the Chamber of Commerce building. The show was very well attended (4,700 visitors?). The first weekend we ran the traditional loop, then during the week replaced one end with John's 2 end loops, and ran this configuration for the 2nd weekend. This provided walk-in access to the pit area with a trade-off in reduced loops (4 down to 2).
The 2017 Clinton Rhythm on the Rails street festival was a success, and the Piedmont N Southern once again appreciated being a part of it. We set up our standard loop with side yard on Friday, May 19 and ran Friday night and all day Saturday, with teardown and loadup on Saturday evening, May 20. We had a steady trickle of visitors, all seemed to enjoy the show, and the air conditioning. We ran lots of trains, and found and fixed a few wiring and track issues.
We were part of the excellent Central Railway & Historical Association's 2017 Annual show [Click here for show flyer!] The show was in a great new venue in Easley, SC on Friday February 10 (12-8pm) and Saturday February 11 (10am-4pm). The Athens guys brought several great modules we haven't shown before, Steve brought his newly-scenicked Yard-L, and Joe's Electric City was back by popular demand.
We set up our basic loop at the Inman Harvest Day Festival on September 24, 2016. We were in a very nice, but narrow storefront, which required us to leave out the 2-footers on each end. But this worked fine. Cory made a cool time-lapse video of the setup, running, and teardown [here]. As you can see in the video, the visitor traffic was not high, but it was steady.
